Marine Biology

The one thing they must do to become successful in this area is find the truth. The study of marine biology includes a wide variety of disciplines such as astronomy, biological oceanography, cellular biology, chemistry, ecology, geology, meteorology, molecular biology. The new science of marine biology draws on many scientific disciplines such as marine ecology anthropology, economics and law. Marine biologist is still under the realm of science so they will cover the scientific method. Marine biologist must be able to characterized

There are four steps that a marine biologist must cover to be able to have a true statement which are:
  1. Characterization
  2. Hypothesis
  3. Prediction
  4. Experiment

Marine Biology is a very interesting field to enter to because of the different components the have to be taken into account. The ocean covers more than 70% of the Earth and scientist say not even 5% of it has been explored. You have to only wonder the possibilities of what is out there to explore and the new creatures that will be discovered. These advance affect human life, climate change, air quality and possible medicine.

Knowing that the there is literally a whole other world out there technology has been vastly advancing such as;

Trawling- collects Marine Specimen ; very effective
Remote Operated vehicles- has a camera usually attached so researchers can view deep trenches through video

Underwater Habitats - a whole new community where scientist live and work underwater.
Sonar - used to measure large objects and measure them

A marine biologist may have to be involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of marine species, and preservation of the marine environment. Marine Biologist studies and also works with the species they capture. They are attached and are 100% in the process so there is no lack of information or care while the creature are in their care.
